Bachelor of Science Business Administration
Overview
Through this course KWUST aims to produce graduates with a broad interest in all commercial activities and who will build upon knowledge of the functional, environmental, behavioural, economic and legal aspects of business and provide analytical and conceptual tools for analysing and solving problems. The programme is designed to create a self-directed graduate who will understand the particular challenges women face in the dynamic and multicultural workplace. The graduate will, therefore, enter the job market confident that she knows herself and her skills well enough to compete and be competent to be a leader – in whatever area of operation she may choose.

The Department of Business Administration is one of the largest and fastest-growing departments under the School of Business and Management of Kiriri Women’s University. The Department offers an exceptionally wide and unique range of market-driven programs at both undergraduate, Diploma and Certificate level. The programmes are constantly reviewed to be in tune with the ever dynamic business environment. The Department seeks to leverage the use of technology to deliver quality, value-driven and flexible learning programmes. Upon completion of the course, graduates will:
- Have an awareness of the broad range of knowledge required in business administration
- Be equipped with specialised knowledge required in the particular profession they wish to enter
- Develop the analytical and behavioural skills they will require to make effective use of this knowledge in employment
- Understand the particular challenges women face in the dynamic multicultural workplace
- Develop the skills and capabilities required to successfully pursue graduate studies in business

Minimum admission requirements
Have a KCSE Mean grade of C+ and minimum grade of Mathematics – C (Plain) and English or Kiswahili – C (Plain) or
Be a holder of Kenya Advance Certificate of Education (KACE) certificate with a minimum of two principal passes and subsidiary pass in General paper and a minimum of credit pass in Mathematics at KCE.
Be a holder of a KNEC diploma or its equivalent or Higher National Diploma from an institution recognized by the KWUST Senate.
Possession of the minimum requirements does not guarantee automatic admission to the degree of Bachelor of Science Business Administration.
