Pre – University Programme
This is a one academic year programme for higher / secondary school graduates who have not attained the required minimum grade of C+ for admission to undergraduate degree programme.
It is designed to assist students to develop learning skills knowledge, discipline, understanding and attitudes required for university education.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Mean Grade, C at KCSE or its equivalent and at least a C- in English and Mathematics or ;
- GCE with 5 upper level passes or
- IGCSE with 4 O level passes with at least grade C- in Mathematics and English

On completion of the course a candidate shall be awarded a certificate based on the following grading system:-

NOTE
In order for a Pre-University candidate to be recommended for admission to a degree programme at Kiriri Women University of Science and Technology, she must obtain a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and above.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Application forms are available from the Admissions Office or on the KWUST website.
Completed application forms should be returned with the following attachments to the address given below;
- Relevant KCSE result slip;
- School leaving certificate
- 2 letters of reference one of which should be from the Head teacher/ Principal of High School attended; the other from a church elder or other religious leader who can vouch for you.
- 3 recent passport sized photographs
