PHYSICS BRIDGING COURSE

Objectives
The course intends to:-

• Upgrade school leavers competence in Physics in order to attain the entry qualification for courses at the University and other tertiary institutes.
• Improve the candidate’s theoretical and practical skills in Physics in preparation for technical courses at the tertiary level.

Physics bridging course modules:
KPH  0101    Mechanical and properties of Maths
KPH  0102    Thermal Physics
KPH  0103     Electromagnetism
KPH  0104     Waves and Optics
KPH  0105   Modern Physic and Electronics

Each module shall consist of equivalent of 35 lecture hours constituted by 2 hours of lecture and 2 hours of tutorials per week. A candidate who fails more than 3 modules shall be required to sit a supplementary examination of which a score not less than 50 % shall be required in order to pass.
A candidate who fails the supplementary examinations shall be required to repeat the modules.

A candidate who fails 4 modules in Mathematics and Physics and 3 modules in English to repeat the whole course.

 A candidate who fails all the modules in Mathematics , English or Physics shall be discontinued.
