The Research and Development Centres are being initiated to correspond to the various academic programmes of the University. They are to serve as production centres to which all staff of the university can relate and contribute during their spare time. These Centres also provide training grounds for the undergraduates in carrying to their final year projects and to work during holiday attachments. The academic members of staff have ample opportunities for research and publications, and those who require further graduate studies will benefit.
The following Research and Development Centres are being considered for development:

Business and Management

Computer Communications

Environmental Sciences

Gender and Career Research
vii.
Intellectual Property Rights
viii.
Medical and Pharmaceutical Research
ix.
Physical Sciences
Other Centres will also be developed as appropriate.
