HIV/AIDS Policy

The mission will be "To contribute to prevention of HIV/AIDS amongst students, staff and the community by addressing the prevention, care and support and management of the pandemic". The launch of the document will be in mid this year.

Research and Development Institute

In addition KWUST has established a Research and Development Institute; The Institute will enhance co-ordination of acadamic research, both basic and applied at the university. Thus enabling our students to become well versed in research and at the same time increase exposure of the university to other established research institutions in Africa and outside the continent.

Collaborations

KWUST is already making an impact in collaboration and student exchange programmes with other universities around the globe. Both staff and students have participated in international conferences (including tele-conferences) while international students have visited the institution.

Jo Gakuin University

Here at KWUST we have collaborations with universities abroad. A group of students from Jo Gakuin University visited Kiriri Women's University on the 11th of August 2005. The aim of the visit was to have a cultural and language exchange between our students and those of Jo Gakuin University. In the afternoon our Kenyan students took our Japanese students for shopping, and they were pretty excited when they saw kiondo's, carvings and beadwork from the various communities in Kenya.
